The FÜRST real estate project on Kurfürstendamm is a new member of AG City Berlin. The membership was announced yesterday evening as part of the established AG City network format City Talk on the FÜRST site. The mixed-use urban quarter thus strengthens the network of AG City and will be actively involved in the further development of Berlin’s City West in the future.
Around 200 guests from business, politics, administration, urban society and the media came together on the FÜRST project site. Among the guests were the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, and the Deputy District Mayor of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Christoph Brzezinski. The evening focused on the overall development of City West, the current construction progress of the FÜRST and the future uses of the quarter. Comedy on Kurfürstendamm, which returns to its traditional venue on Ku’damm after eight years, was particularly highlighted. The event participants had the opportunity to visit the new theatre building.
“City West, Kurfürstendamm and also the FÜRST offer an attractive mix of shopping and retail, cultural and leisure activities, housing and gastronomy. The FÜRST makes an important contribution to the development of our city. I am sure that Berliners and guests of our city will also be happy to come to this new urban quarter,” said Kai Wegner, Governing Mayor of Berlin, who had already visited the construction site in July 2025.
“With the FÜRST, an important building block for the future of City West is being developed at one of the best-known addresses in our district. The decisive factor here is the combination of different uses such as work, shopping, gastronomy and leisure, which enliven the location throughout the day and create new points of attraction,” added Christoph Brzezinski, deputy district mayor of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf.
“With the FÜRST, we welcome a special project as a new member of AG City, which is of essential importance for the development of City West. With the FÜRST, our Ku’damm adventure boulevard is developing with great strides. Our network thrives on strong players getting involved and shaping the future of the location together,” said Uwe Timm, CEO of AG City.
“The FÜRST sees itself as part of City West. That is why joining AG City is a logical step for us. We want to make a long-term commitment to the location and, together with the other members, contribute to further strengthening the attractiveness of Kurfürstendamm and its surroundings,” added Josip Kardun, CEO of FÜRST.
The joint City Talk by AG City and FÜRST was part of the regular City Talk series of AG City, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026. As a network, it is involved in the areas of trade, urban development, culture, tourism and events, among other things.
The FÜRST is a mixed-use real estate ensemble in Berlin’s City West. Completion is 80 percent complete and will take place gradually by mid-2027, with key components of the development being successively put into operation. A modern urban quarter is being created on around
106,000 m² with a mix of uses of around 58,000 m² of office space, approx. 14,200 m² for culture and leisure as well as further space for retail and gastronomic offerings. More than 40 percent of the space has already been rented.
