7R, a leading commercial real estate developer, has laid the cornerstone for a state-of-the-art logistics and technology hub in Krak\u00f3w. 7R Hub Nowa Huta is set to deliver approximately 230,000 sqm of modern technical and production space, designed to high contemporary standards and incorporating numerous low-emission solutions. Even before construction works commenced on ul. Igo\u0142omska in Krak\u00f3w, 7R had secured lease agreements for tens of thousands of square metres of commercial space in the project.<\/b><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n\t

On 6 May 2026, the cornerstone-laying ceremony for the 7R Hub Nowa Huta logistics and technology complex took place in Krak\u00f3w. This symbolic act was performed by Aleksander Miszalski, Mayor of Krak\u00f3w; Wojciech Warian, CEO of Krak\u00f3w Nowa Huta Przysz\u0142o\u015bci S.A.; and Andrzej Wro\u0144ski, CEO of 7R, together with Tomasz Lubowiecki, the company\u2019s founder.<\/p>\n

Aleksander Miszalski, Mayor of Krak\u00f3w, <\/strong>said: \u201c7R Hub Nowa Huta is an project that significantly strengthens the economic potential of Krak\u00f3w\u2019s eastern districts. Areas included in the strategic project \u2018Krak\u00f3w \u2013 Nowa Huta Przysz\u0142o\u015bci\u2019 are consistently transforming into a hub of modern industrial and technological activity, and this development is a key element of that process. It demonstrates that urban growth can effectively combine the attraction of modern investments with the revitalisation and reuse of post-industrial land. As a result, Krak\u00f3w is reinforcing its position as an attractive location not only for the services and IT sectors, but also for advanced logistics and industry. It is equally important that this project is being delivered in partnership with entities responsible for the development of this area. Such investments create long-term value \u2013 for the city\u2019s economy, its spatial structure and the labour market.“<\/em><\/p>\n

Wojciech Warian, CEO of Krak\u00f3w Nowa Huta Przysz\u0142o\u015bci S.A.<\/strong>, added: \u201cToday\u2019s event marks a significant milestone in restoring post-industrial areas of Nowa Huta to residents and businesses. The immediate proximity of 7R Hub Nowa Huta and the \u2018Nowa Huta Przysz\u0142o\u015bci\u2019 Economic Activity Zone creates tangible conditions for building a cohesive economic ecosystem, the first effects of which will be visible in the near future. It is also the moment when the results of our company\u2019s consistent efforts over recent years\u2014spanning design, infrastructure and land preparation\u2014are becoming reality. We are confident that 7R\u2019s project will act as a catalyst for further dynamic growth in this area, triggering a snowball effect and contributing to the delivery of additional projects in the years ahead.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

7R Hub Nowa Huta is being developed within the Ruszcza Logistics and Industrial Centre, as part of the \u2018Krak\u00f3w \u2013 Nowa Huta of the Future\u2019 project, a location aspiring to become a new address for innovative industry in Krak\u00f3w. Situated in the heart of the Nowa Huta district of Krak\u00f3w, close to national road 79 and the planned S7 expressway junction, the park offers excellent connectivity and convenient access to the Krak\u00f3w city centre. Its location, combined with access to a skilled workforce, makes it an attractive choice for technology companies, manufacturers, and logistics operators alike.<\/p>\n

Andrzej Wro\u0144ski, CEO of 7R<\/strong>, commented: \u201c7R Hub Nowa Huta is the largest project in our portfolio and a perfect reflection of 7R\u2019s approach to delivering modern commercial assets. Today, a warehouse is far more than just space \u2013 it is a place where business grows, an entire ecosystem. In our view, a modern warehouse is a tool that supports operational efficiency. This is exactly what 7R Hub Nowa Huta will be. We are pleased that our vision has been so well received by the market, as evidenced by the leasing process. We have already secured lease agreements with renowned companies, leaders in their industries, for tens of thousands of square metres. This confirms that the strong interest in the project since its announcement has translated into tangible business decisions by leading companies. Our project will also significantly strengthen Krak\u00f3w\u2019s position on Poland\u2019s industrial map. To date, total warehouse stock across the Ma\u0142opolska region has stood at about 1.2 million sqm., and the location has not traditionally been perceived as a first-choice destination for the logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing or technology sectors. 7R Hub Nowa Huta will also represent a major and responsible transformation of the site. In cooperation with the City of Krak\u00f3w and Krak\u00f3w Nowa Huta Przysz\u0142o\u015bci, we are bringing previously neglected land back to life.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

7R Hub Nowa Huta will ultimately comprise buildings with a total area of about 230,000\u00a0sqm, forming the largest urban logistics complex in Europe. A key component of the project is infrastructure designed for automation, along with numerous amenities designed with logistics operators, among others, in mind. A clear spatial layout, convenient access systems, and logical functional organization will support efficient day-to-day operations, enhancing productivity while saving time and operating costs for businesses of various scales. The development will incorporate selected solutions aligned with 7R\u2019s low-emission standard, supporting operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact. These include an intelligent building management system, photovoltaic installations, ventilation units with heat recovery and CO\u2082 sensors, as well as air-source heat pumps with a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 4.15. In addition, electrification will enable integration with local energy generation (PV), energy storage systems, and reduced reliance on grid-supplied energy.<\/p>\n

Investing in environmental quality and the long-term resilience of the site, 7R Hub Nowa Huta will feature a range of sustainable solutions. The project includes land revitalization, the planting of over 2,200 biodiversity-supporting plants, afforestation of about 10 hectares, wildflower meadows, insect hotels, and creation of rain gardens utilizing the site\u2019s natural topography for water retention and filtration.
