EGC, one of the leading energy service providers and decarbonisation partner to the real estate industry, is consistently pushing ahead with the integration of its subsidiary BayWa Energie Dienstleistungs GmbH (EDL). From May 15, 2026, Enno Philipps, Head of Transformation at EGC, will take over the management of the subsidiary.
As part of the integration process, EDL will be fully transferred to EGC in the summer of 2026. In this context, the BayWa Energie Dienstleistungs GmbH brand will also be discontinued. By bundling its activities, EGC will act as a uniform company throughout Germany in the future and offer its customers a broad, sustainable and cross-technology portfolio from heat pumps to biomass heating systems.
“With the integration and merger, we are bundling our competencies and creating a uniform platform for sustainable energy solutions throughout Germany. Our goal is to offer our customers scalable, efficient and technology-neutral solutions from a single source,” says Enno Philipps.
This will not result in any changes for customers: Existing contracts will remain unchanged, and the contact persons at the Munich and Geiselhöring locations will continue to be available.
Dr. Carsten Schaefer, former Managing Director of BayWa EDL, will leave the company by mutual agreement. EGC thanks him for his many years of commitment and entrepreneurial achievement.
Dr. Schaefer has played a key role in building up and shaping EDL over many years. Most recently, he accompanied the successful sale of the company to the EGC Group, thus creating an important basis for the further development of EDL.
