RQI Immobilien AG (RQI), a nationwide real estate investor and family office partner with a focus on portfolio optimisation, portfolio development and conversion of use, is strengthening its management level with Ertan Isen.
The lawyer and real estate expert joins RQI RE. Structuring Solutions GmbH as spokesman for the management.
In addition, as Executive Director, he is responsible for project structuring at the holding company, where he is responsible for the development and design of complex real estate, financing and investment structures.
With Ertan Isen, RQI is gaining a lawyer and real estate expert with more than 15 years of international professional experience. Most recently, he was Managing Director and Group General Counsel of the ACRON Group in Luxembourg. There he was responsible for the development and management of a real estate investment platform with around 30 subsidiaries, seven single-asset AIFs and a securitisation platform with assets under management of around EUR 300 million. His tasks also included supporting complex real estate acquisitions and sales, negotiating financing and joint ventures as well as managing regulatory and compliance-relevant processes.
With the personnel reinforcement, RQI is taking into account its dynamic growth in the areas of restructuring and complex real estate transactions and is thus successively expanding its range of services by strengthening its management capacities in key business areas in a prominent position.
Holding CEO Professor Dr. Nico B. Rottke classifies: "The area of restructuring is playing an increasingly important role for RQI. After implementing around EUR 900 million in restructuring tasks through two major mandates in the area of Signa's insolvency and the purchase of two further properties in restructuring situations amounting to around EUR 100 million, we have now positioned ourselves in the best possible way to adequately support banks and insolvency administrators in the current wave of NPL real estate. While the current demand of around EUR 50 billion in NPL volume is still manageable, the future problematic exposures of around 6 times the amount are still in the books and will have to be processed in the next five years. Ertan Isen combines legal expertise, capital market experience and understanding of the real estate industry in a special way. With him, we are excellently positioned to meet these challenges and reach the next stage of development with RQI."
New Managing Director Ertan Isen emphasizes: "We differentiate ourselves through a data-based approach and provide the market with quantitative solutions on how lost values can be recovered, i.e. recuperated, and make this clear to the stakeholders involved through our value recuperation matrix. 'Wait and see and lose money' is not a profit-maximizing or loss-minimizing strategy. We support through a structured diagnostic process, strategic advice for real estate value creation and, if desired, implement this ourselves on the property."
The expansion of the management team is part of the Group's organizational development. RQI has consistently expanded its range of real estate and capital market-oriented services since entering the market in January 2024 and now covers the areas of investment, with additional specialization in monument investments, asset management and restructuring. With the expansion of its management structure, the Group is creating the conditions to interlink the individual business areas more closely and to accompany growth in the long term.
