The 67 subsidised flats make an important contribution to affordable housing in Berlin.
STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH is expanding its housing portfolio in Treptow-Köpenick. At 97 Semmelweisstraße in Berlin-Altglienicke, 74 new flats are being built, 67 of which are publicly subsidised. The project thus makes an important contribution to the creation of affordable housing in Berlin. The new-build project is being developed by Nova Gruppe GmbH and constructed by Goldbeck Nordost GmbH using a serial construction method. Upon completion, STADT UND LAND will add the building to its portfolio.
Across a total lettable area of around 4,145 square metres, 1- to 5-room flats are being built to suit a variety of living situations. The high proportion of subsidised flats enables households with a housing eligibility certificate, across various income groups, to access modern and affordable accommodation. The housing on offer is aimed at students and smaller households as well as families. Construction began on 18 September 2026. Work is currently underway on the underground services and preparations for the foundation slab. Completion and handover to STADT UND LAND are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2028. The development of this site will create additional housing in the immediate vicinity of the Adlershof science and technology hub, one of Berlin’s most important locations for the future.
