Housing is a long-term future field for WÖHR + BAUER
With WÖHR + BAUER Wohnen GmbH, the WÖHR + BAUER Group is creating clear responsibilities for a business area that is expected to grow further in the coming years. The basis is the Neulichterfelde residential district: Together with degewo, WÖHR + BAUER is driving forward the realisation of one of the largest new urban districts in Berlin.
In the future, WÖHR + BAUER Wohnen GmbH is to develop and implement further residential projects and quarters – not only as an investor, but also as an operational partner and service developer for third parties.
"Housing is a long-term field of the future for WÖHR + BAUER. With Neulichterfelde, we have a strong initial project, an experienced team and comprehensive implementation expertise. We are bundling this strength in our own company and want to use it specifically for further residential projects," explains Wolfgang Roeck, CEO and shareholder of WÖHR + BAUER.
Dr. Tim Malonn, Managing Director of WÖHR + BAUER Wohnen GmbH, adds: "Today's large-scale residential developments not only have to be convincing in terms of concept, architecture and technology. Above all, they must also be economically feasible. This is exactly where we come in: with early cost and planning management, sustainable investment structures and short decision-making paths. Felix Roeck brings in-depth experience in the areas of investment, transactions, controlling and management. Alexander Klonz brings many years of experience in the implementation of large residential districts and extensive knowledge of the Berlin market. With the power of attorney, we are creating the conditions for assuming responsibility quickly and closely to the projects."
More living space through efficient planning and economical construction
The ongoing shortage of affordable housing in many cities remains one of the key challenges in Germany. At the same time, high construction costs, complex development and planning processes as well as challenging financing conditions make it difficult to realize new residential projects. WÖHR + BAUER intends to use its expertise in the structuring of investments as well as in the optimization of planning and construction in a targeted manner in order to make large neighborhoods and residential projects economically feasible and thus enable the creation of additional living space.
