CR Investment Management (CR) has been commissioned with the structured sale of a residential real estate portfolio in Helmstedt (Lower Saxony). The portfolio comprises a total of around 1,980 residential units, spread over 87 buildings and represents one of the largest contiguous residential portfolios at the location. The rentable living space is around 116,000 square metres. The aim of the mandate is to achieve the best possible placement of the properties with institutional and professional investors as part of a structured sales process.
“The portfolio in Helmstedt offers an attractive investment profile due to its size and homogeneous structure in a regional centre. The location is characterized by its good location between the economic areas of Wolfsburg, Braunschweig and Magdeburg,” comments Claudius Meyer, Managing Director of CR Investment Management. “In addition, the portfolio consists to a large extent of properties that offer great potential for value appreciation through energy-efficient renovation measures.”
The portfolio is located in the district town of Helmstedt and the town of Schöningen, which is located in the district of Helmstedt, both of which together have around 36,000 inhabitants. Helmstedt is located about 36 km east of Braunschweig and about 45 km west of Magdeburg on the border with Saxony-Anhalt.
CR Investment Management takes over the structuring and implementation of the entire sales process as part of the mandate. This includes the preparation of the property and portfolio data, the approach of potential investors and the coordination of a multi-stage bidding process. The sales process is aimed specifically at institutional investors, family offices and residential real estate investors from Germany and abroad. The aim is to sell it as part of a share deal.
