GARBE Industrial and ARTAR launch strategic joint venture for logistics project developments in Saudi Arabia

GARBE Industrial, one of the leading developers, providers and managers of real estate in the field of logistics, industrial and commercial real estate in Germany and Europe, has signed a memorandum of understanding with ARTAR, a leading real estate developer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to establish a joint venture. The joint venture will operate under the name “AG Logistics Partners”.

The aim of the strategic partnership is to develop modern logistics real estate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which will contribute to economic diversification and further strengthen the country’s role as a major international logistics location.

The joint venture focuses on the development of high-quality Grade A warehouses and distribution centers to international standards in the country’s major economic centers, including Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. Several logistics properties of this type are to be built over the next five years.

All properties are designed with the highest sustainability criteria in mind. They will be equipped with modern automation technology and energy-efficient systems and adapted to local climatic conditions. This is to ensure that the properties meet the increasing requirements from the areas of e-commerce, industry and production. In view of the dynamic growth in Saudi Arabia and the demand driven by the Saudi transformation strategy “Vision 2030”, modern logistics and industrial space according to Grade A standards is increasingly scarce – a supply gap that the joint venture aims to close in a targeted manner.

“This collaboration marks a turning point in Saudi Arabia’s transformation under Vision 2030,” said Sulaiman AlRashid, CEO of ARTAR. “By partnering with GARBE and their world-class expertise, we are not only building logistics properties, but also creating the foundation for resilient, future-proof supply chains that will secure prosperity for generations to come.”

Christopher Garbe, Managing Partner of GARBE Industrial, adds: “Our aim is to achieve quality leadership for high-quality and modern logistics properties in Saudi Arabia within the framework of the joint venture. Together with ARTAR, we will combine local knowledge and international experience to build a high-performance logistics infrastructure that will make Saudi Arabia attractive to international companies.”

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding marks an important milestone on the way to the establishment of the joint venture. The start of operations is planned for the first quarter of 2026. The partnership underlines Saudi Arabia’s growing attractiveness for international investors – supported by the country’s strategic location, extensive infrastructure investments and economic reforms as part of Vision 2030.

Just a few weeks ago, GARBE opened a new office in the Dubai International Financial Centre. The expansion is an important step in the company’s international growth strategy and strengthens its presence in the Middle East.
