Goldbeck Facility Services, part of the Europe-wide construction and services company Goldbeck, is continuing its partnership with the HDI Insurance Group at its Hanover site, which has been in place since 2021. Following a routine tender process, Goldbeck Facility Services was awarded the contract and will continue to support HDI by providing technical facility management services at the HDI headquarters at HDI-Platz 1.
Built in 2011, the property complex has a gross floor area of around 77,000 square metres and accommodates approximately 1,800 staff. In addition to office space, the complex includes, amongst other things, a conference centre, a canteen and an underground car park with around 850 parking spaces, for which Goldbeck Facility Services is responsible for technical maintenance as part of the agreed scope of services. The architectural centrepiece of the property is an atrium measuring over 50 by 50 metres, which serves as the building’s central hub for communication and socialising.
“Our head office in Hanover is a key location for the HDI Insurance Group. We therefore rely on experienced and reliable partners to manage this property. Goldbeck Facility Services has been supporting us for many years in meeting our technical facility management requirements. The renewal of this contract is a testament to our confidence in the quality of our collaboration and the team’s performance,” said Helge Steinkraus, Head of Facility Services Hannover at the HDI Insurance Group.
At the Hanover site, a permanent team comprising the property manager, an assistant and four building services engineers from Goldbeck Facility Services looks after the building’s technical systems. The scope of services includes, in particular, the operation and maintenance of the heating, ventilation, plumbing, air-conditioning, measurement and control systems, and mechanical systems. Responsibility for the site remains with the HDI Insurance Group as the property operator. Goldbeck Facility Services provides the agreed technical facility management services as a service partner.
“We are delighted with this contract extension, which recognises the work our team has carried out over the past few years. As a technical facility management partner, we support the HDI Insurance Group in ensuring the reliable operation of its technical systems and in continuously developing existing processes within the scope of our services. This renewed contract also serves as an incentive for us to continue our partnership-based collaboration in the future,” says Nils Lueken, Managing Director of Goldbeck Facility Services GmbH.
The building is designed with sustainability in mind. Its technical features include thermally activated ceilings, a large-scale ventilation system with heat recovery and sorption cooling, triple glazing and high-quality façade insulation. Around 80 per cent of the building’s energy is supplied by geothermal energy and 20 per cent by district heating. Together, these measures contribute to energy-efficient building operation.
