Medical technology company to move into new premises in the second quarter of 2027
Becton Dickinson, a company specialising in the development of medical devices, is relocating its German headquarters in Heidelberg from Tullastraße 8–12 to Europaplatz. The company has let a space of around 3,200 m² in the office and commercial building at Europaplatz 2–5. The move is scheduled for the second quarter of 2027. JLL advised Becton Dickinson under an exclusive mandate and brokered the lease agreement.
The building forms part of a neighbourhood development in the up-and-coming Bahnstadt district. It was designed to Passive House standards, is DGNB Gold-certified and offers 14,000 m² of modern, high-quality lettable space, of which around 12,900 m² is office space spread across the five above-ground storeys. Other tenants include Springer Nature and the law firm GSK. With the letting to Becton Dickinson, the building is now fully let. The owner is the Gustav Zech Foundation.
Konstantinos Krikelis, Metro Lead Office Leasing & Investment at JLL Rhein-Neckar, comments: “The lease to Becton Dickinson marks what is likely to be the largest office transaction in Heidelberg this year. It confirms what we are seeing in the market: prime locations with urban infrastructure and a high-quality working environment are the decisive factor in location decisions.”
