JLL brokers third transaction from the Highstreet VIII fund for the insolvency administrator
Schomaker Baugruppe, a regional project developer, has acquired the Vechte Arcaden in Nordhorn, Lower Saxony, near the Dutch border. The seller of the property at inner-city Hagenstraße 10 is the insolvency administrator of the Highstreet VIII fund, which has commissioned Hannover Leasing with investment and asset management. The two-storey shopping centre with a total lettable area of almost 7,300 m² was built in 1979 and modernised in 2002. Anchor tenants are the textile chain H&M (2,700 m²), the Centralkaufhaus Ceka (2,000 m²), Deutsche Bank (490 m²) and Schuhpark (440 m²).
JLL advised the seller and brokered the property.
The fund’s property companies became insolvent in 2025, and the insolvency administrator commissioned JLL to market the retail properties. After the Stern Center in Sindelfingen and the Shopping Plaza Garbsen, the Vechte Arcaden is the third property from the Highstreet VIII fund to be sold. JLL has identified different buyers for each of the three properties, two of whom are regional investors.
