FRANKFURT, May 22, 2025 – KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (KPMG) is moving from Frankfurt Airport to the city center. KPMG has leased a total of around 33,000 m² of office space in the two neighbouring office buildings, OpernTurm and Park Tower. JLL advised on both leases and brokered the deals.
KPMG is thus focusing on a central location and is deliberately opting for sustainability by moving into renovated existing space instead of a new building. With the new Frankfurt office directly on Opernplatz, KPMG offers its employees a forward-looking working environment in a prime location and moves closer to its clients and clients based in Frankfurt City.
Ralf Baukloh, Regional Board Member Central at KPMG: “With our new Frankfurt office, we are sending a strong signal. We are moving into two striking existing properties in a prime location, thus ensuring special resource conservation and sustainability. We offer our employees a state-of-the-art working environment, excellent accessibility and an attractive urban environment. We are thus underlining our position as a top employer and opening up new ways of working with our customers.”
Suat Kurt, Branch Manager and Team Leader Office Leasing JLL Frankfurt: “The high complexity of concluding two lease agreements for existing space of this size at the same time was particularly unusual for Frankfurt. As a rule, contracts of this dimension are limited to one object. Through its number of employees and corporate culture, KPMG will help shape its new environment. In addition, the conscious decision for future-proof existing areas supports Frankfurt’s goal of becoming more climate-friendly.”
At around 20,000 m², the somewhat larger part of the office lease is accounted for by the Park Tower at Bockenheimer Anlage 44. The building, which was completed in 1972, was renovated and expanded between 2005 and 2007 and has been owned by DWS Immobilien-Publikumsfonds grundbesitz europa since 2010. KPMG is renting the entire space.
In the OpernTurm, Bockenheimer Landstraße 2-4, KPMG will move into around 12,800 m². The building was completed in 2009. The total of 42 floors and the podium of the OpernTurm cover a gross floor area of around 67,900 m².
Prior to KPMG’s move to the Park Tower, the building will be comprehensively modernized and expanded by DWS in accordance with the latest building and sustainability standards. The owner of the OpernTurm is also planning a modernization.
