Commerz Real has leased around 4,300 square metres of logistics space in the Visio industrial park in Munich to Deutsche Post / DHL for at least ten years to set up a new delivery base. From September of this year, the sorting, picking and delivery of letters and parcels will take place there, including with electric cargo bikes and vans. Until now, these so-called “last mile” services have been handled in the former parcel post hall, the area of which is currently being developed into a mixed-use district.
The Visio business park, located at Landsberger Straße 159–175 / Friedrich-von-Pauli-Straße 11–21, comprises a total of around 55,000 square metres of rental space and is part of the portfolio of Commerz Real’s Hausinvest real estate fund since January 2018. Currently, a hardware store, a fitness studio, an office furniture outfitter, a self-storage center as well as event locations and various other companies are located there. Due to its central location and good connections via Landsberger Straße and local public transport, the site can be reached quickly from all directions.
In addition to Visio, Hausinvest’s Munich portfolio includes 17 other properties worth more than two billion euros. These include the Tucherpark in the Eisbachviertel, the Seidl Forum, the Munich Palais on Jakobsplatz, the Karolinen Karree in Karlstraße, The Seven in Müllerstraße and the Nymphenburger Höfe in Nymphenburger Straße. In addition, the portfolio includes various residential properties.
