Goldbeck Technical Solutions GmbH, part of the construction and service company Goldbeck, which operates throughout Europe, is taking over the renovation and expansion of the logistics site of SCHMITT Feuerwehrtechnik in Neuwied, Rhineland-Palatinate. Goldbeck had built the existing building in 2009. The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project took place on 9 February in the presence of the client and the Lord Mayor of the City of Neuwied, Jan Einig. Completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
The building complex to be revitalised includes a logistics hall with an adjoining office and a showroom with a total of around 1,000 square metres of usable space. The renovation work will be carried out during ongoing operations: In order to ensure a smooth process, the hall extension will first be erected and handed over ready for occupancy before work on the existing building begins.
In the course of the renovation, new room layouts will be created and existing areas adapted to the requirements of the expansion. In this way, the use of the building will be optimally coordinated with future operational processes. The planned extension will create expanded workshop space in the field of respiratory protection, as well as additional storage capacity for the growing business with equipment for fire brigades and aid organisations.
W. SCHMITT GMBH Feuerwehrtechnik is one of the leading specialist dealers and service providers for firefighting technology and fire protection in Germany.
Patrick Möller, Managing Director of Goldbeck Technical Solutions GmbH, emphasizes: “We are very pleased to be able to support SCHMITT Feuerwehrtechnik in the further development of its site. The combination of renovation during ongoing operations and modern expansion places special demands on planning and execution – this is exactly where our strengths lie: from forward-looking planning to the optimal deployment of the subcontractors involved to transparent communication with all parties involved on site. Thanks to numerous successfully completed revitalizations during ongoing operations, we know exactly the challenges that such a project entails. Our goal is to work with our customer to create optimal conditions for the future and to strengthen the location in the long term.”
