OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH has signed another lease agreement on the BioSquare Leipzig technology campus: The internationally active Northwave Deutschland GmbH is renting around 700 square metres of office space in component B of the new location for technology and life science companies on the grounds of the Alte Messe in Leipzig. The company is scheduled to move in at the end of the year after the interior work.
With the establishment of Northwave, BioSquare gains a Europe-wide established specialist in cybersecurity, which has grown strongly since its foundation in the Netherlands in 2006 and now employs 275 people at its headquarters in Utrecht, as well as at its locations in Leipzig, Brussels and Stockholm.
BioSquare Leipzig comprises two individual buildings, which are referred to as component A and component B. Component A, with a gross floor area of around 10,000 square meters, is fully let to the biotechnology company c-LEcta and has already been ceremoniously opened as the company’s new headquarters. In component B, a total of around 7,500 square metres of rental space is available, which can be divided from 400 square metres. The tenant fit-outs are carried out individually according to the respective needs.
Dr. Bernd Schade, Chairman of the Management Board of OFB Projektentwicklung: “Projects like the BioSquare make a significant contribution to strengthening the key industries of tomorrow and giving them the best conditions for growth and networking. Against this background, we are particularly pleased about the lease to a company from the important cybersecurity industry. It is precisely such synergies that make a location like BioSquare strong and forward-looking.”
The campus offers excellent conditions for offices, laboratories and practice areas. The modern architecture with clear room heights of up to 3.75 metres ensures a high quality of stay. OFB Projektentwicklung is pursuing ambitious sustainability goals for BioSquare Leipzig and is striving for DGNB Gold certification. In addition, compliance with the EU taxonomy is ensured.
