OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH has secured another tenant for the BioSquare Leipzig technology campus in the form of Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA. From April 2027, the company will move into around 1,100 square metres of modern office, training and development space, as well as technical facilities.
For BioSquare, this move underscores its role as a flagship project within Leipzig’s technology and science hub. The BioCity Campus Leipzig is creating an environment where companies from the medical technology, biotechnology and life sciences sectors, as well as related fields, can engage with research and scientific institutions and high-performing partners from the business world.
Dr Bernd Schade, Chairman of the Management Board at OFB Projektentwicklung, says: “With Dräger, a heavyweight in medical technology is moving into BioSquare. This is helping to build a network at the site from which all tenants will benefit. Thanks to its proximity to research, science and other innovative companies, a technology cluster in the life sciences and medical sectors is taking shape here.”
BioSquare Leipzig comprises two buildings. Building A, with a gross floor area of around 10,000 square metres, is fully let to c-LEcta GmbH, which operates the Kerry Biotechnology Centre Leipzig there. Building B offers a total of around 7,500 square metres of lettable space. The spaces can be subdivided from around 400 square metres upwards and fitted out according to tenants’ requirements. The campus offers flexible office, laboratory and practice spaces with clear ceiling heights of up to 3.75 metres. OFB is aiming for DGNB Gold certification for BioSquare and is ensuring compliance with the EU taxonomy.
