Westbridge accompanies Arminius in the transition to 100 percent green electricity

Westbridge Advisory GmbH (Westbridge), one of the leading energy and sustainability consultants for real estate clients in Europe, has re-tendered and optimised the electricity contracts for a sub-portfolio of Arminius.

From the end of the year, the sub-portfolio will be gradually converted to 100 percent green electricity. In this way, the company is reducing its costs and making building operation more climate-friendly in the long term. By the end of 2029, around 1,560 tonnes of CO₂ can be avoided in this way.

The basis for this was a tendering process accompanied by Westbridge, in which the existing electricity contracts were reviewed and restructured on the market side. The new procurement strategy creates tangible cost advantages and at the same time strengthens Arminius’ sustainability goals. The additional purchase of green electricity from German plants lays the foundation for a sustainable energy supply.

“The current market situation calls for procurement strategies that combine economic stability and sustainability goals,” says Christopher Feliks, Managing Director at Westbridge. “Especially in the case of existing portfolios, measurable added value can be achieved through professionally structured tenders – both in terms of energy costs and the CO₂ balance.”

Christian Molter, Managing Partner at Arminius: “With the optimisation of our electricity contracts and the gradual conversion to 100 per cent green electricity, we are setting another concrete lever for more sustainable real estate operations. In this way, we are creating a solution that combines ecological impact with economic rationality – in the interests of our tenants and the environment.”
