The project of the Büschl Group and ehret+klein is now being handed over to Versicherungskammer Bayern: 9,000 m² of rental space for offices and businesses with flexible floor plans, green roof terraces as well as gastronomy and retail.
An important step on the way to the reinvention of Munich’s new centre: B.munich was completed on time by the Büschl Group and ehret+klein and will now be handed over to the new owner, Versicherungskammer Bayern. Munich’s main railway station and the district south of it are among the largest construction sites in Munich. B.munich is thus one of the first new construction projects to be completed and shows the new face of this district: future-oriented working environments, modern architecture and vibrant urbanity.
Around 7,000 m² of modern office space including 560 square metres of green terraces and around 1,900 m² of attractive gastronomy and retail space on the ground floor and in the basement have been created directly on the main station square. The building was built according to plans by Ochs Schmidhuber Architekten and meets the highest sustainability standards according to the DGNB Gold Standard.
The bright and modern room atmosphere, the quiet inner courtyard, roof terraces, flexible floor plans and smart building solutions create the ideal basis for New Work concepts. The central location – just a minute’s walk from the main train station – makes commuting much easier and ideal for companies that rely on hybrid collaboration. The location combines modern working environments with urban quality of life and excellent accessibility in a special way.
“We are proud to have realized an architectural eye-catcher in the most central location at Munich Central Station with B.munich. This was made possible above all by the partnership and trusting cooperation with our general contractor Implenia. We would also like to thank Versicherungskammer Bayern for the trust they have placed in us,” says Ralf Büschl, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the BÜSCHL Group.
“The Bahnhofsviertel holds enormous urban potential and will be transformed into the new Central Business District in the coming years due to the many developments. With B.munich, we are now giving the starting signal for the reinvention of this district,” says Michael Ehret, founder of ehret+klein. “As part of the Future of the Bahnhofsviertel initiative, we are working with other project developers to ensure that Munich can continue to be a big city at this location and gain more quality of stay.”
