OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH has sold the logistics centre in Gotha / Emleben, which was completed this month, to SICORE Real Assets GmbH. With the purchase of the property, the holistic asset manager SICORE is continuing its strategy of investing in sustainable and ESG-compliant real estate.

The new construction project comprises around 21,000 m² of rental space and is leased on a long-term basis to the Nagel-Group, which operates throughout Europe. In addition to logistics, office, social and technical areas, the property impresses with its highly sustainable construction: DGNB Gold certification and an EU taxonomy-compliant design are planned. The energy concept includes air-to-water heat pumps and an 8,800 m² photovoltaic system on the hall roof, which saves around 870 tons of CO₂ annually.

Dr. Bernd Schade, Chairman of the Management Board of OFB, explains: “Logistics continues to be one of the key growth drivers on the German real estate market. Two factors in particular are decisive for the success of the project: the strategic choice of location and the consistent focus on sustainability. Both have succeeded in Gotha-Emleben. The lease to the Nagel Group and the sale to SICORE confirm the strength of the project.”

Martina Averbeck, spokeswoman for the management of SICORE Real Assets GmbH, adds: “The acquisition of the logistics centre in Gotha / Emleben is a further step towards expanding our portfolio with future-proof and ESG-compliant assets. The property fits ideally with our strategy of holding sustainable properties with a long-term perspective and thus creating stable value for our investors.”

The new logistics centre strengthens the region’s position as an attractive logistics location. The direct connection to the A4 and the embedding in the Thuringian cluster offer ideal conditions for further growth and future settlements.
