From 1 January 2026, Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH, a specialist in the management and revitalisation of parking properties, will take over the holistic parking and mobility management at the two central German airports of Leipzig/Halle and Dresden. At the beginning of October, Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG awarded the Europe-wide tender to Goldbeck Parking Services, which will be responsible for more than 11,500 parking spaces and the development of sustainable, future-proof mobility solutions at both locations.

Tailor-made and flexible parking solutions for more than 11,500 parking spaces

At Leipzig/Halle Airport – Germany’s second largest air freight hub and airport for the region with more than 2.2 million passengers last year – Goldbeck Parking Services will manage more than 7,000 parking spaces in the future. These include 16 parking areas with a total of 4,360 parking spaces, a multi-storey car park with around 2,650 parking spaces and around 60 additional parking spaces at the terminal driveway. At Dresden Airport – with almost 900,000 passengers last year – the company will manage around 4,600 parking spaces in the future, spread over seven outdoor parking spaces and one multi-storey car park.

For both airports, Goldbeck Parking Services develops tailor-made parking solutions that are flexibly tailored to flight schedules and traffic volumes at both locations. To support the numerous parking customers, the parking specialist relies on a combination of personal on-site support and a digital control center that can be reached around the clock. The existing parking technology will be retained, and its monitoring and maintenance will also be taken over by Goldbeck’s Parking Services in the future. In this way, the company ensures a smooth flow of traffic at both airports as well as a modern, comfortable parking experience for parking customers.

Strong partnership for the future

Katrin Lässig, Senior Vice President of Mitteldeutsche Airport Holding, says about the order: “With Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH, we have gained an experienced partner for the future, which will further develop parking management at our airports in an efficient, service-oriented and sustainable way. Together, we are noticeably optimising the parking experience for travellers, guests and park customers alike and at the same time promoting sustainable mobility solutions that significantly strengthen the efficiency of our locations.”

“With the takeover of parking and mobility management at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden airports, we are expanding our presence in the aviation sector in a targeted manner. In the future, we will be responsible for the operational parking operations at three Central European airports – an important step in our strategic development. We are very pleased about the order and the trust in our expertise,” emphasizes Gregor Hensel, Managing Director of Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH. “As an expert in parking management, we know that the requirements for airports go far beyond the mere provision of parking spaces. Together with Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, we are focusing on future-oriented and digital solutions to ensure smooth, efficient parking operations as well as comfort for parking customers, guests and travelers in the long term,” adds Stephan Pieper, Managing Director of Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH.

With the takeover of parking and mobility management at the two Central German airports, Goldbeck Parking Services underlines its competence as a reliable partner for efficient and customer-oriented parking solutions at highly frequented traffic junctions.
