Frankfurter Sparkasse realises new headquarters with ÖFB

Neue Zentrale der Frankfurter Sparkasse (Frankfurter Sparkasse)

Frankfurter Sparkasse is building its new headquarters in Frankfurt city centre together with OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH. A modern office and commercial building with around 10,000 square metres of usable space is being built on the “An der Hauptwache 1” site.

The location is located in the centre of Frankfurt, in the immediate vicinity of the Hauptwache and St. Catherine’s Church. The design provides for six above-ground and two underground floors. The façade is clearly structured and is given an unmistakable character by the striking roof shape. Hesse’s largest savings bank will use “Hauptwache 1” as its new headquarters and administrative headquarters in the future. It is thus relocating its presence to the heart of Frankfurt’s city centre, creating attractive areas for direct customer contact.

In terms of sustainability, the building will meet the highest requirements. Certification according to the DGNB sustainability standard is planned. In addition, ESG verification of the EU taxonomy by the DGNB is being sought. The project is also striving for the highest quality in the field of digital connectivity: WiredScore Gold certification is planned.

Frankfurter Sparkasse acquired the property in 2024, including the shell on it. In the meantime, the plans have been adapted and tailored to the needs of the savings bank. Now the modern headquarters is being realized with the planning and execution expertise of OFB. Completion is scheduled for the beginning of 2028.
