Today’s groundbreaking ceremony marks the official start of the realisation of the new location of SCHAUENBURG Industrietechnik GmbH in Bremen’s Bayernstraße industrial park. The project developer Peper & Söhne, together with all those involved in the project, is thus setting the next milestone for the development of the modern light industrial property.
On the approximately 9,080 m² site, a new building with around 4,192 m² of hall space as well as office and social areas planned in line with demand is being built. The property will be specially designed to meet the requirements of hose line and valve technology. With the new building, the previous Bremen locations of SCHAUENBURG Industrietechnik will be merged into one place in the future. Occupancy of the building is scheduled for October 2026, and the lease has been concluded for a period of 15 years.
“This groundbreaking ceremony is a visible starting point for a project that is designed for efficiency and sustainability. Together with SCHAUENBURG, we are realizing a future-oriented location here. We would like to thank all those involved in the project for the intensive preparation and especially SCHAUENBURG for the refreshingly uncomplicated, very cooperative partnership: medium-sized companies to medium-sized companies, with short distances and clear decisions,” said Christoph Peper, Managing Partner of Peper & Söhne GmbH in his welcoming address.
Lars Blatt, CSO of SCHAUENBURG Industrietechnik GmbH, added: “With the new building, we are creating the spatial conditions for further growth and optimized processes. The bundling of our activities at one location strengthens our production and logistics structures and is a clear commitment to Bremen as a location. Everyone involved has done an excellent job in the preparation – for which we would like to express our thanks. Now we are looking forward to the implementation and to making the new location a reality together step by step.” GOLDBECK Nord GmbH has been commissioned as the total contractor. Robert C. Spies Industrial Real Estate GmbH & Co. KG accompanied the project in an advisory and mediating capacity.
The new building will be built according to the criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council, and gold certification is being sought. Among other things, the use of an air-to-water heat pump with natural refrigerant, a photovoltaic system, a smart meter infrastructure and charging points for electromobility are planned. The sustainability and ESG concept is tailored to the requirements of the user and is based on the EU taxonomy.
