Cureus, a portfolio holder specializing in inpatient care properties, laid the foundation stone for the retirement home in Gladbeck-Brauck together with the future operator Amando Seniorenresidenzen. The ceremony took place in the presence of Gladbeck’s mayor Bettina Weis. The new building is being built at Horster Straße 216 in 45968 Gladbeck (North Rhine-Westphalia). “Construction work on the modern retirement home has been underway successfully on the site since the summer of last year,” explains Kathrin Ufken, project manager of Cureus. Jacek Michalak, Managing Director of Amando Senior Residences, is enthusiastic: “We are a young brand from the group of care motifs, but we have a lot of experience in the team. One of our first two residential locations is now being built in Gladbeck.” On the approx. 3,390 square metre plot in the Theodorstraße/Johannastraße/Horster Straße square, an L-shaped building will extend in the future, opening onto a green inner courtyard. The residence will have a gross floor area of around 7,140 square metres. Residents can expect 118 bright, spacious single rooms for inpatient care with their own bathroom according to the latest standards, 95 percent of which will be wheelchair accessible. The location of the senior citizens’ residence is centrally located in the Gladbeck district of Brauck and is surrounded by a grown residential area. The residence will have a hotel-like lobby, a fireplace lounge with library and a wellness and care bathroom.
