Green FOX Energy, an independent investor, project developer and operator of renewable energy plants, is implementing a photovoltaic portfolio with a total of around 85 megawatt peak together with its joint venture partner ON Energy. The self-developed projects in Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saarland were sold to a German family office and all have secured EEG tariffs. Some of the sites are already in operation or will be built by the third quarter.
All solar parks will be realised as co-locations – photovoltaics combined with battery energy storage systems (BESS). This coupling increases grid stability, improves system efficiency and increases the added value of renewable generation. The parks produce enough electricity for more than 20,000 households annually and reduce emissions by over 45,000 tons of CO₂e per year.
“We are pleased with this transaction. The combination of photovoltaics and battery storage stands for a secure, scalable and future-proof energy supply. We are currently developing a pipeline of around 4 gigawatt peak and will sell and implement further projects ready for construction in the course of the year,” says Tobias Aulich, Managing Director of Green FOX Energy.
