Logicor, a leading owner, manager and developer of European logistics and light industrial properties, has signed a lease agreement with Orthomol for its new construction project in Langenfeld. The manufacturer of high-quality dietary supplements has rented approx. 9,700 m² with a hall area of around 8,500 m². The remaining 1,200 m² include mezzanine and 600 m² of office and social space. The move-in is planned for 01.06.2026.
On the approx. 35,000 m² site, a sustainable, energy-efficient new building with a total area of around 21,000 m² GFA replaces an outdated, maintenance-intensive property. Construction started in the summer of 2025, and completion is expected in April of this year. With the lease to Orthomol, almost 50% of the property is pre-let.
The building will be constructed according to the BEG40 construction standard and operated fossil-free. Intensive roof and façade greening as well as a roof structure made of wood support the sustainable character. DGNB Gold certification is being sought. Thanks to its immediate proximity to the A3 motorway, the redevelopment project is strategically very well located between Düsseldorf and Cologne.
Janica Gerecke, Managing Director, Head of Germany at Logicor, says: “With Orthomol, we found an excellent tenant at an early stage. For us, this lease is a sign that we are on the right track with our redevelopments in the metropolitan regions. Here we can meet demand in established locations in a targeted manner.”
Dr. Jörn Weißenfeld, Managing Director at Orthomol, adds: “Orthomol continues to grow successfully both nationally and internationally. This also places new demands on logistics. We have therefore been looking for a logistics location in Langenfeld for some time that meets our requirements and centralizes logistics. We will now equip our new logistics centre with the latest technology and will also be able to drive forward our expansion in a targeted manner.”
