More than 3 million m² already analysed: Purpose Green takes over energy efficiency and CO₂ emissions analyses for Engel & Völkers Commercial
The Berlin-based energy and renovation experts from Purpose Green and Engel & Völkers Commercial are expanding their cooperation nationwide via the headquarters. The aim of the partnership is to support owners and investors in all phases of the transaction and advisory process of existing properties. To this end, Purpose Green provides a tool that can be used to analyze and evaluate the current energy condition of buildings on the basis of ESG and energy efficiency data. This creates a data-based basis for assessing the need for renovation and making investment decisions in an economically sensible way.
The core of the cooperation is the integration of data-based ESG and energy analyses from Purpose Green into the consulting practice of Engel & Völkers Commercial – from strategic purchase and sale advice to portfolio analysis and the concrete planning and implementation of economic restructurings. The first energy-efficient renovation projects have already been successfully initiated and implemented as part of the partnership.
The digital “Green+ Portal” can be used to quickly analyze the current energy situation, future CO₂ costs, regulatory risks and economically viable renovation options and prepare them in a transparent and comprehensible way for customers.
From project to partnership: millions of square metres already assessed
In the previous cooperation with Engel & Völkers Commercial, more than 3 million m² of residential and commercial buildings have already been digitally evaluated. On this basis, the energy requirements of the analysed buildings and their need for renovation could be classified and transferred into strategic investment decisions. The partnership has thus proven to be a practical lever for integrating ESG criteria into investment-relevant decisions.
Till-Fabian Zalewski, CEO D-A-CH at Engel & Völkers, says: “ESG data is playing an increasingly important role in real estate consulting. With Purpose Green, we have found a partner who provides us with relevant information quickly, in a structured and practical way. This enables us to offer owners and investors a reliable basis for decision-making on energy efficiency and renovation needs for buying, selling and value enhancement measures.”
Lennart Christel, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Purpose Green, emphasizes: “Securing the economic future of real estate today is decisive for its competitiveness. Together with Engel & Völkers, we combine market knowledge with strategic advice to manage investments in such a way that they pay off: through stable values, better financing conditions and sustainable return prospects.”
