The real estate developer and Germany’s largest hotel brand are jointly developing 30 new hotel buildings
The cooperation between GARBE Commercial Living, a subsidiary of the real estate company GARBE, which operates throughout Europe, and B&B HOTELS Central and Northern Europe (CNE) marks a milestone for both companies. With the establishment of the first hospitality investment product for institutional investors, GARBE Commercial Living underlines its claim to establish itself as a scalable development partner for the hotel industry. At the same time, B&B HOTELS is strengthening its position as Germany’s largest hotel brand and one of the fastest growing hotel brands in Europe. The partnership combines GARBE’s development and investment management expertise with the operational strength of B&B HOTELS.
“The joint development of such a large portfolio across several national borders is a first for us at B&B HOTELS CNE and also marks an extraordinary magnitude for the industry as a whole,” says Arno Schwalie, Chief Executive Officer B&B HOTELS CNE. “With the new hotels, which are being developed tailor-made for us, we are strategically driving our organic growth. At the same time, this step brings us much closer to our goal of more than 500 stores in the CNE region by 2030.”
The planned 30 hotel projects will be implemented primarily in Germany, but also in Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland and the Czech Republic. “The cooperation with GARBE Commercial Living will help us to close the white spots on our portfolio map even faster and to consolidate our presence in strategically important locations,” says Tobias Gollnest, Chief Development Officer B&B HOTELS CNE. “The first hotels are to be opened as early as 2027.”
Felix Radavero, Managing Director of GARBE Commercial Living, emphasizes the strong demand, high resilience and continuous growth of the economy segment. “With B&B HOTELS, one of the most dynamic players in Europe with a highly profitable business model, we are creating one of the most attractive product pipelines for institutional investors in the hotel sector. This combination ensures long-term rental stability and makes the portfolio particularly attractive for capital partners and financiers.”
