The independent, owner-managed Praeclarus Group has appointed Michael Leber (39) as Head of Facility Management. His tasks in the newly created position include strengthening the Facility Management business area of the Praeclarus Group and acquiring mandates from third parties in the Munich area. A first mandate in the environment of a nationwide trading group is already at an advanced stage of coordination.
Michael Leber is moving from Hirmer Eckerle Service GmbH & Co. KG, the internal service company of the men’s fashion specialist Hirmer with a nationwide branch network, where he was most recently Head of Facility Management. He brings extensive experience in the strategic management and optimization of technical and economic processes in facility management. Among other things, he managed and coordinated construction and conversion measures from tendering to planning and on-time completion.
Friedrich Eschenbaum, Managing Director of Praeclarus Invest GmbH, says: “For Praeclarus, the key to optimal real estate management is to cover as many stages as possible itself. We also manage all properties that we manage as investment managers in asset management. We also cover most of our property and facility management ourselves. This allows us to be close to the properties, see their potential and also identify the need for action at an early stage. With Michael Leber, we have gained a proven expert who will strategically strengthen and further expand our Facility Management division. In addition to his extensive experience, he brings a deep understanding of the relevant interfaces to adjacent areas.”
Michael Leber says: “For me, holistic facility management means consistently combining technical know-how, economic management and operational proximity to the property. It is crucial to structure processes in such a way that operational reliability, cost control and value retention are guaranteed in the long term. At Praeclarus, I am particularly attracted to the integrated management approach – from investment to asset to operations. This consistency creates transparency, accelerates decision-making processes and opens up additional value creation potential. My goal is to strategically develop facility management and at the same time position it as an efficient partner for selected third parties in the Munich area. With the targeted opening of our service portfolio to third parties, we are deliberately positioning ourselves far beyond the classic janitorial service and focusing on the area of commercial and technical processes. In doing so, we support a structured organization of maintenance measures, professional management of external service providers as well as transparent budget responsibility and compliance with all relevant operator obligations.”
