Barton Group strengthens business development with Gregor Walscheid
At the beginning of May, Gregor Walscheid began his work as Director of Business Development/Institutional Sales at the Barton Group. With this personnel reinforcement, the Bonn-based company wants to further expand its market position.
In his new role, Gregor Walscheid will be responsible in particular for expanding relationships with institutional investors and family offices. Another focus is on the structuring and placement of investment solutions in the real asset sector, and the further development of the sales and product strategy. In addition, he will help shape the expansion of the Barton family’s family private equity activities.
Gregor Walscheid has more than 20 years of experience in M&A, capital raising, investor relations and business development with a focus on real assets and alternative investments. Among other things, he dealt with the structuring and placement of transactions, primarily in the areas of real estate, M&A, infrastructure and renewable energies. He can prove significant successes in this area. Most recently, he worked as a transaction advisor, advising on sell-side mandates, M&A processes and capital raising in Europe and Latin America.
His most important professional positions include positions as a director at Ernst & Young Real Estate with a focus on M&A advisory as well as raising capital for infrastructure and real estate projects. In addition, he was Vice President at Deutsche Bank Private Equity and at CAM Alternatives in the Analytics & Sales department. Most recently, as Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations and Investment Development at LAIQON AG, he was responsible for investor communications and the strategic expansion of institutional client relationships.
