Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH – a specialist in the management, inspection and revitalisation of parking properties – is taking over the holistic revitalisation of the multi-storey car park at Lookentor in Lingen during ongoing parking operations. The renovation work started on 4 May 2026 – completion is scheduled for autumn 2027. The client is the Emsländische Volksbank. The construction supervision is being carried out by the Exeler construction and project management office from Lingen.
Carsten Schmees, board member of Emsländische Volksbank, says: “Built in 1970, open parking deck, exposed to wind and weather for years – we have to get to work on it now. Extensive investigations have confirmed the need for renovation. Further postponement does not make the realization cheaper.”
The centrally located multi-storey car park at the Lookentor shopping centre has more than 240 parking spaces on an area of around 10,000 square metres and is an important part of the inner-city infrastructure in Lingen. With the revitalisation, the multi-storey car park will be specifically adapted to current technical and functional requirements.
360-degree revitalization in Lingen
As general contractor, Goldbeck Parking Services bears overall responsibility for the renovation of the car park. The basis of the comprehensive revitalization concept is a detailed as-built analysis, which includes both a 3D reality capture and a precise structural analysis. A digital building model serves as a central planning and coordination basis in which all relevant inventory data and planned renovation steps are brought together. Goldbeck Parking Services is responsible for the integral and holistic implementation planning of the revitalization.
Revitalization measures during ongoing parking operations ensure the attractiveness of the location and future viability of the parking garage
In the course of the renovation work, the parking experts are implementing a large number of complex measures during ongoing parking operations: For example, an individually developed support concept will be used for the duration of the work. The restoration of the original reinforcements also ensures the sustainable stabilisation of the building fabric. At the same time, existing defects, cracks and damaged areas are repaired. In concrete repair and reprofiling, robot technology, among other things, supports precise and efficient concrete removal.
The drainage system will also be adapted in parts to reliably drain away rainwater and meltwater and thus counteract damage caused by moisture and corrosion problems to the building fabric in the long term. In addition, all floor surfaces are equipped with a high-quality surface protection system, which also protects the building fabric from damage in the long term. A marking and colour concept with new road markings on all levels as well as redesigned wall and ceiling surfaces will ensure better orientation and an increased level of safety during ongoing parking operations in the future.
