The global real estate service provider CBRE has brokered the sale of an approximately 31,800 square metre commercial property in Hilden to Rheinische Grundbesitz AG. The seller is Vion Hilden GmbH, which gave up the site in the course of the closure of its meat plant. The purchase price was not disclosed.
With this acquisition, Rheinische Grundbesitz AG is securing a large-scale industrial site in a strategically very favourable location within the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region.
A new development for up to three users is planned on the site on around 16,000 square metres of rental space, including around 13,000 square metres of hall space. The project will be suitable for third-party use, with modern building equipment and built in accordance with GEG 40. Construction is currently scheduled to start in mid-2027. CBRE is taking over the leasing as part of a lead mandate.
