Qualitas Energy, a leading global investment and management platform with a focus on the financing and development of renewable energies, energy transition and sustainable infrastructure, today announces the full commissioning of the Nachtsheim-Luxem wind farm with a total capacity of 33.6 MW.
The wind farm is located around 50 kilometres west of Koblenz in Rhineland-Palatinate, comprises eight Enercon E-138 turbines and is now fully connected to the power grid. The plants will generate more than 92 million kilowatt hours of renewable electricity annually, enough to supply over 29,000 households. This corresponds to more than 20 percent of the approximately 215,000 inhabitants of the Mayen-Koblenz district. Furthermore, the wind farm avoids around 49,000 tons of CO₂ annually compared to fossil power generation.
Commissioning took place in two phases: The first five turbines went into operation as early as 2024. With the commissioning of the three other turbines, the wind farm is now fully realized.

The project required close coordination on issues of land use as well as nature and species conservation.
