Despite challenging market conditions: Eurowind Energy continues to invest and acquires two approved wind farms with a total capacity of almost 87 MW in Germany
Eurowind Energy is consistently continuing its growth course in Germany and has purchased two wind farm projects in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania that have already been approved under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG).
Together, the two projects have a total installed capacity of 86.7 MW. The wind farm in Brandenburg comprises seven wind turbines with a total capacity of 43.5 MW, while the site in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has a capacity of 43.2 MW with six wind turbines.
With the acquisition of the projects, Eurowind Energy is further expanding its position as one of the leading project developers and operators of renewable energies in Germany. The transaction is particularly noteworthy against the backdrop of a challenging market environment characterized by increased financing costs, regulatory changes and intense competition.
“The successful acquisition of these two approved wind farms shows that we are able to act even in a challenging market environment and are consistently implementing our growth strategy,” says David Christopher Stahl, Managing Director Germany. “Our goal is to further advance the expansion of wind energy in Germany and at the same time create attractive prospects for project developers, investors and land owners.”
Thanks to its long-term partnership with the world’s leading investment company Blackstone, Eurowind Energy has a strong financial basis to consistently exploit opportunities in the current market phase. This enables the company to acquire projects at various stages of development as well as existing turbines and wind farms.
“Especially in the current market situation, we can offer attractive solutions to project developers and plant operators. Our capital strength and many years of experience enable us to take on projects flexibly and successfully develop them further,” adds David Christopher Stahl.
With more than two decades of experience in the development, implementation and operation of wind and solar energy projects, Eurowind Energy is one of the most important players in the European energy transition. The company develops, builds and operates projects along the entire value chain and is committed to a sustainable, secure and affordable energy supply.
