Phase0, a cloud-based software platform for tendering, billing, royalty management and construction management for small and medium-sized architecture and engineering firms, has closed a €2.6 million seed extension funding round. Realyze Ventures, one of Europe’s leading industry-focused early-stage venture capital funds, is leading the round, with Albert Achammer, CEO of ATP architects engineers, and Ershad Jamil, former Chief Growth Officer at ServiceTitan (NASDAQ: TTAN), joining as business angels. Existing investors include LocalGlobe and Atlantic.
The capital will flow into the expansion of Phase0’s AI agents, which are intended to automate time-consuming administrative tasks in architectural and engineering offices.
Modernizing administrative processes in architectural and engineering offices
Planning and design in architectural and engineering offices are increasingly digital. However, many of the administrative processes are still characterized by manual workflows and outdated desktop software.
This is exactly where Phase0 comes in: The browser-based platform bundles tendering, awarding and billing (AVA), fee offers and invoices according to HOAI as well as construction management in one solution. Building on this, the AI functions are directly integrated into the existing workflows and work with the project data that is already managed in Phase0.
The AI bill of quantities is already available: It creates bills of quantities based on its own project data in the chat and checks the long texts according to VOB and DIN. The AI construction diary automatically creates reports, tickets and e-mails from photos and voice messages sent via WhatsApp. In the future, other AI functions will automate tasks related to costs, billing, documentation and project management, among other things.
“If you manage projects worth millions, you shouldn’t write invoices in Word on Sunday afternoons. We have onboarded over 1,000 offices and the pattern is the same everywhere. The tasks that take the most time – bills of quantities, minutes, invoice verification – are exactly the ones that AI can best take on,” explains Matthäus Kerres, founder and CEO of Phase0.
Growth in a fragmented market
Phase0 currently addresses around 110,000 small and medium-sized architecture and engineering firms in Germany – a market that is still characterized by older Windows desktop solutions and manual processes. More than 1,000 offices are already using Phase0, with 50 to 100 new customers joining every month.

Phase0 is an example of how AI can add value when it is directly integrated into industry-specific software and existing workflows. The basis for this is the cloud-based platform, which bundles central administrative and project-related processes in architectural and engineering offices. On this basis, Phase0 is further expanding its AI agents.
Realyze Ventures will also support Phase0 in further market access through its network in the construction and real estate industry.
