Since September 2026, Goldbeck Parking Services, a specialist in the management and revitalisation of parking properties, has been operating the new Mobility Hub Terminal M at the main railway station in Ilmenau, Thuringia. The contract with the city of Ilmenau has a term of five years.
On behalf of the public sector, Goldbeck’s Parking Services will be responsible for the management of the multi-storey car park with nine levels and a total of 216 car and 16 motorcycle parking spaces. 44 charging points are planned for electric vehicles. Thanks to installed power rails, the charging infrastructure can be expanded to up to 104 charging points in the future. In addition, a total of 375 bicycle parking spaces are available to users in the multi-storey car park.
Goldbeck has already taken over the realisation of Terminal M as general contractor. The company realised the almost 8,000 square metre multi-storey car park in a systematised construction method in around one and a half years. With the takeover of management by Goldbeck Parking Services, Goldbeck now supports its customers throughout the entire life cycle of the property – from planning and systematised construction to building operation.

Free-flow technology and signage concept ensure convenient parking without waiting times in Ilmenau
For a convenient and smooth parking process, Goldbeck Parking Services in Terminal M rely on a barrier-free free-flow system with automatic license plate recognition. When entering and exiting, the vehicle’s license plate is automatically recorded. This reduces waiting times and enables smooth entry and exit without a barrier.
In addition, Goldbeck Parking Services has installed a well thought-out signage concept. Clear and intuitive orientation helps parking customers to find parking spaces, access points and mobility services quickly and easily. This increases user comfort, shortens search times and contributes to an overall pleasant stay in the Mobility Hub.
In addition to the parking technology, Goldbeck Parking Services is also responsible for customer service, maintenance, cashless payment processing, long-term parking management and the cleaning and maintenance of the property as part of the management contract.

Ilmenau is located about 45 kilometers south of Erfurt. The city is located on the northern edge of the Thuringian Forest and is characterized by the Technical University of Ilmenau as a university location.
