JLL brokers office space in the “New7” conversion project
The US law firm Quinn Emanuel is relocating its office in Mannheim. From Mollstraße, it moves to the city center, to square N7, house number 2a-4. In the former Galeria Kaufhof department store, which is currently being converted into a multi-use property under the project name “New7”, the law firm has rented an area of around 1,000 m². The move is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. The project developer and landlord is Diringer & Scheidel. JLL advised the tenant and brokered the deal.
In addition to offices, space for retail, medical practices and apartments is also planned in New7. While the two basement floors as well as the ground floor and first floor will be retained and renovated in the existing building, the five floors above will be built in timber hybrid construction. “The conversion of the former Kaufhof is currently the most exciting inner-city project development in Mannheim. In the heart of the city, modern and high-quality areas with an innovative concept are being created. Companies are willing to pay even prime rents for this,” emphasizes Konstantinos Krikelis, Metro Lead Office Leasing & Investment JLL Rhein-Neckar.
