On behalf of the FN Capital Holding Group, Aengevelt is brokering the sale of a fully let retail park at the “Fasanerie Arkaden” in Hainburg, east of Frankfurt. The buyer is an institutional portfolio holder with proven expertise in the field of food-anchored retail real estate. The purchase price was not disclosed.

With renowned chain stores such as KiK, Edeka, Rossmann and Lidl as well as other users such as a pharmacy, the location is by far the most important retail cluster in the immediate vicinity and has a central supply function for the region.

“Accordingly, the transaction impressively shows that well-positioned retail store concepts with high local supply relevance continue to be in high demand,” explains Björn Bauer, Senior Consultant at Aengevelt Frankfurt.

Branch manager Daniel Milkus adds: “Specialist stores impress with above-average resilience in all economic cycles. We will therefore continue to expand our activities in this asset class in the future.”

This assessment by Daniel Milkus is also confirmed by figures from the German Retail Association (HDE), which show the development of market shares in the various retail segments from 2014 to 2024: The market shares of supermarkets (+22.9%) and discounters (+17.9%) as well as for specialist retail chains (+7.8%) and specialist stores (+1.9%) increased, while all other segments suffered significant losses, especially department stores (-51.9%), but also, for example, hypermarkets/hypermarkets (-20.5%).
