Bellboy Robotics, a startup from the first cohort of Aroundtown’s AtechX scale-up program, is continuing to advance its approach to deploying Physical AI in operational environments. A recent milestone in this development is the presentation of its Live Learning Lab at NVIDIA GTC Berlin, where AI models can be tested, evaluated and further developed under real-world conditions. Bellboy Robotics exemplifies AtechX’s long-term approach of supporting emerging technology companies as they develop practical solutions to specific challenges facing the real estate industry.
With its Live Learning Lab, Bellboy is creating an environment in which AI models can be tested not only in simulations, but also during live building operations. In the real estate and hospitality sectors, these applications can, among other things, support operational processes and help further develop the use of robotic systems under real-world conditions. Bellboy’s fleet of 22 robots has already completed more than 10,000 operating hours and carried out 24,000 room inspections across seven hotels, including properties operated under the Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG and OYO brands, several of which are part of Aroundtown’s portfolio.
“Bellboy Robotics’ development clearly demonstrates what startups supported by AtechX can achieve. We do not support companies only at a particular stage, but provide them with access to a network and an environment in which they can continue to develop their solutions and test them in real-world settings. The fact that Bellboy Robotics has consistently advanced its approach since participating in the first AtechX cohort and is now presenting its technology in an international setting such as NVIDIA GTC is an excellent example of this journey,” says Angie Mahtaney, Principal on the AtechX team.
Bellboy Robotics develops infrastructure for Physical AI in operational work environments. The company combines robotics, software and data collection to enable AI models to be trained and evaluated using real-world tasks. Bellboy uses a range of NVIDIA technologies in its systems.
“AtechX gave us the opportunity early on to further develop our approach in direct exchange with the real estate industry and to align our technology with real-world requirements. This practical perspective was particularly valuable to us. Since then, we have continuously developed our systems and expanded their range of applications. Our work with NVIDIA technologies and the presentation of our Live Learning Lab at GTC Berlin mark another important step in this development,” says Sandy Hefftz, Founder and CEO of Bellboy Robotics.
AtechX connects startups and scale-ups with companies from the real estate industry and real-world property portfolios, with a strong focus on practical application. Through a tailored four-month program, participating companies can test and further develop their solutions directly across different real estate segments. Industry experts support them in aligning their offerings with specific market requirements and building viable business models.
To enable this, AtechX startups gain access to Aroundtown’s European portfolio as well as to the portfolios of its extensive partner network, which includes Apleona, JM, LEG Immobilien, Prologis, Round Hill Capital, Schwarz Digits, Stoneweg, Supernova Group and Vonovia. The network is further complemented by venture capital partners Fifth Wall, noa, Realyze Ventures, The Bau Ventures and Zacua Ventures.
