The AVENTOS Group has sold a data center in Nuremberg to AEW. The purchase price was not disclosed. Built in 2010 and covering approx. 2,592 square metres with a connected load of 6.4 MVA, the property is fully leased on a long-term basis to an international technology company.
Until now, the property was part of the modern PAOLO business park, which AVENTOS is developing as a multifunctional location with office, warehouse and production space. With this project, AVENTOS is pursuing a sustainable and future-oriented development that meets the high demands of tenants in terms of flexibility and quality. In addition, the commercial quarter has catering facilities and a fitness studio to enable a work-life balance directly on the site.
“In view of the currently very high demand for data centers on the real estate investment market, we have decided to spin off the property from our PAOLO business park and sell it. Another argument in favor of the sale was that the data center does not offer any direct added value for the other users in the business park – and therefore no problems arise from a division of ownership,” says Patrick Ibler, Head of Development Southern Germany at AVENTOS Group.
AVENTOS was advised on the transaction by CBRE (intermediary) and Greenberg Traurig (legal).
