The global real estate service provider CBRE advised AVENTOS on the sale of a Nuremberg data center to AEW. The 2,592-square-meter data center from 2010 is fully leased to a global technology group under a long-term double-net lease. The connected power capacity is 6.4 MVA, with the possibility of increasing the available capacity in the future. In the event of a lease expiring, there is also potential for use as a multi-tenant colocation. The purchase price was not disclosed.
“The transaction underlines the continued high demand from institutional investors in the data center asset class. In an environment where available existing data centers are scarce, high-performance regional locations beyond Frankfurt are increasingly coming into focus,” says Nadine Gelke, Head of Data Centre at CBRE in Germany.
