The AVENTOS Group has rented out the last available space in the former ceramics processing plant in Mannheim's VAREAL industrial district. The new tenant is the H. Gautzsch Group.
The H. Gautzsch Group is an owner-managed family business headquartered in Münster and is one of the leading medium-sized specialist wholesale groups in Germany. The company is represented at more than 70 locations and employs over 1,400 people.
The business areas include electrical wholesale as well as services in the areas of plant engineering, logistics and e-business. H. Gautzsch Elektrogroßhandel sells the goods exclusively to tradespeople with qualified electricians.
Until the completion of the leased space at the end of 2026, H. Gautzsch will initially move into a BENTO Box in VAREAL. The flexibly usable commercial units thus enable the company to start at the new location even before the work is completed.
"With H. Gautzsch, we have gained a leading medium-sized company in the electrical wholesale trade for the VAREAL and at the same time rented out the last available space in the former ceramic processing plant. The fact that H. Gautzsch is already moving into a BENTO Box in the quarter before completion also shows the strength of our flexible space concept: We can offer companies within the VAREAL different solutions for different phases of their development," says Mona Kienberger, developer at AVENTOS.
The former ceramics processing plant is one of the characteristic existing buildings of the VAREAL. Where industrial ceramics used to be processed, modern and sustainable office and storage space is being created in the course of the revitalisation, preserving the historic industrial character of the building. This change is also evident in the entire commercial district. With the ongoing construction work, the VAREAL is developing into a modern business park with an area of around 40,000 square metres. Thanks to the direct connection to public transport and the Mannheim motorway ring, the VAREAL is an easily accessible location for companies in the region.
AVENTOS was legally advised by Greenberg Traurig on the lease.
