The Erlangen-based asset and property manager Pegasus Real Estate Partners and Ranovus GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Canadian high-tech company Ranovus Inc., a market leader in high-speed optical connections in AI data centers, have agreed on a multi-year lease extension and space expansion at Nuremberg's Nordostpark 7-9. The multi-tenant office building was built in 2008 and comprises a total of approx. 5,600 m² of rental and usable space. Ranovus has been represented on the ground floor of the property since 2015 with around 400 m². On May 1, 2026, the tech expert, which currently has around 50 employees, will move into new space on the third floor and rent almost 1,000 m² there. The new office and laboratory space will be extensively expanded and converted according to Ranovus' wishes in the course of the lease. The property is owned by a special fund managed by Kingstone Investment Management.
Dr. Christoph Schulien, Managing Director of Ranovus, says: "Ranovus is experiencing strong global growth, and our Nuremberg team continues to play a key role in developing best-in-class technologies that enable the scaling of AI computing platforms. Nordostpark has long been a center for groundbreaking innovations in high-speed telecommunications and, more recently, interconnect solutions for data centers. The outstanding talents in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region, combined with the flexibility and quality of the space in Nordostpark, create an ideal environment for further growth. The extension of our lease and the expansion of our space are a logical step for us: they reflect our continued commercial success and support the next phase of our international expansion."
Manuel Pyrtek, authorised signatory and Head of Asset Management at Pegasus Real Estate Partners GmbH, adds: "The successful extension of the contract and simultaneous expansion of space by our existing tenant confirms the positioning strategy that we have developed as the responsible property manager for the location. Through targeted modernisation measures and consistent further development of the property, we have been able to increase its attractiveness in the long term and are firmly convinced that we will conclude further leases in the near future." At present, individual office units are still being marketed in the building.
