Westbridge creates stable energy base for Moayedi Investments
Westbridge Advisory GmbH (Westbridge), one of the leading energy and sustainability consultants for the real estate industry in Europe, has restructured the electricity and gas supply of a German office portfolio for Moayedi Investments GmbH.
The new contracts secure the portfolio's energy supply from January 1, 2027 until the end of 2030, with Westbridge developing a procurement model that combines long-term price stability with a reliable supply. Multi-year fixed-price models have been agreed for electricity and gas. At the same time, the new supply structure makes an immense contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions: Depending on the year of delivery, savings of up to 69 tonnes of CO₂ are achieved in the electricity sector and up to 175 tonnes per year in the gas sector.
"It was crucial for us to find a solution that was economically plannable and at the same time met our sustainability standards. By taking out electricity and gas in the eco-tariff, we have created a reliable basis for controlling our energy use in a targeted manner and meeting our ESG goals," says Josephine Fröhlich, Head of Project Management at Moayedi Investments.
Westbridge accompanied the entire process from the tender to the evaluation of the bid to the award of the contract and is responsible for the ongoing energy monitoring. This creates a data-supported control of energy consumption, which supports Moayedi Investments in identifying further efficiency potential.
"Professional energy purchasing is a strategic control instrument today," says Rüdiger Salzmann, Managing Director at Westbridge. "It is crucial to align the procurement model, contract term and portfolio requirements cleanly. This is exactly what we have geared the solution for Moayedi Investments towards."
