With effect from 21 April, a.s.r. will consolidate its real estate and infrastructure activities under the name a.s.r. real assets. The new umbrella brand bundles the business areas of Fund Management, Separate Account Management, Investment Partners and Urban Development. For stakeholders, the renaming will not result in any changes.
Dick Gort, CEO a.s.r. real assets: "In recent years, we have developed into a broad-based platform for real estate and infrastructure investments in the Netherlands. With the a.s.r. real assets brand, we are uniting these activities under one clearly positioned roof. This strengthens our perception among internationally active customers and investors and supports our claim to create added value through scale, expertise and long-term orientation."
The new designation takes into account the scaling and diversification of the investment and asset manager in recent years. The fund's offering has been expanded to include infrastructure and natural capital strategies, including investments in wind and solar farms, energy storage and agricultural land. As of January 1, 2026, an extensive portfolio of residential project developments was also integrated into the platform. In the coming years, around 13,000 apartments are to be built in the Netherlands as part of urban development. In addition, the management of a separate residential real estate mandate of a.s.r. with around 7,500 units has been transferred to the platform.
The bundling under a.s.r. real assets will create a holistic organisation with an integrated approach to investments in real assets, while existing mandates, governance structures and supervisory mechanisms will continue unchanged.
