FOX Living, a subsidiary of FOX REAL ESTATE, has acquired a 3,328 square metre building plot in a new development area in Braunschweig-Nord. 185 apartments with a gross floor area of approx. 6,000 square metres are to be built – with a focus on students and trainees. The building permit is expected for the first half of 2026, so that completion is announced by the end of 2027.
Each apartment will have its own kitchen and bathroom. In addition, common areas for the residents are planned. In addition, an underground car park and sufficient bicycle parking spaces are planned.
Located at Lampadiusring 3 in the Nordanger development area, the project impresses above all with its walking distance to the University of Excellence TU Braunschweig. There is also a very good connection to Braunschweig’s city centre and the main train station via public transport. The local supply is also excellent: three food retailers can be reached in less than ten minutes on foot.
“With a student share of well over ten percent, Braunschweig is a typical student city. However, young people are finding it increasingly difficult to find suitable housing in view of the low supply. We want to meet this demand with our new project development. In addition to full-fledged apartments, the project also offers attractive communal areas,” says Mathias Grüning, Managing Director of FOX Living. Further acquisitions for new project developments are planned. “We are already in advanced acquisition talks for further projects in other federal states. But beyond that, we are also continuing to look for land in suitable locations throughout Germany – proximity to universities is particularly important to us.”
