Engel & Völkers Commercial Berlin is expanding its Executive Board: Frederic Weber takes over the position of Executive Director Investment and receives joint power of attorney. In this role, he will be responsible for the strategic development of the investment division with a particular focus on institutional transactions.
Engel & Völkers Commercial Berlin has been the market leader in the residential and commercial building segment in the capital for years. With the personnel reinforcement, the company is pursuing the goal of expanding its strong residential position even more consistently in the direction of large-volume and institutional investment mandates.
Weber has more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry and has advised on transactions with a total volume of over EUR 1.7 billion. His career to date has included PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he worked as a team leader and authorized signatory in the Real Estate Mergers & Acquisitions department. In addition, he led the investment divisions at investment manager Periskop Development and most recently at residential real estate developer Livory Group.
“With Frederic Weber, we are gaining an experienced investment generalist who is familiar with institutional processes as well as the operational implementation of complex transactions,” says Rackham F. Schröder, Managing Director of Engel & Völkers Commercial Berlin. “Our house is firmly anchored in the Berlin residential investment market. With his expertise, we are strengthening the institutional business in a targeted manner and creating additional synergies within our team of around 130 people.”
Weber will work closely with the existing sales and commercial leasing teams and further expand the interfaces with institutional investors, fund structures and international sources of capital. The company’s residential DNA remains the clear focus of the investment strategy.
“Engel & Völkers Commercial Berlin combines an exceptionally strong market position in the residential segment with broad local roots,” says Frederic Weber. “My goal is to use this platform and integrate institutional investment processes even more closely. Always with an eye on substance, sustainability and long-term partnerships.”
With the expansion of the Executive Board, Engel & Völkers Commercial Berlin is underlining its claim to remain the leading address for residential investment transactions in the capital and to further professionalise its institutional business.
