GreenPlaces Deutschland Asset Management GmbH, together with representatives from politics, administration and business, today symbolically broke ground for its new business park in Mannheim-Vogelstang. On the 7,200 square metre site at Radeberger Strasse 11, a compact building with 30 two-storey commercial units with a floor area of 6 by 13 metres per floor will be built in the coming months. In addition, 81 car parking spaces will be built.

The commercial units can be used flexibly, for example as offices, for production and craftsmen’s businesses, as a warehouse or showroom. Each unit has a large roller door and a separate entrance. If necessary, several units can be merged. Photovoltaic systems are installed on the roof of the rented units and provide cheap electricity. The Radeberger Straße 11 location is very well connected by public transport as well as by highway.

Founded in Lausanne in 2017, GreenPlaces specialises in the construction and operation of modular business parks in timber construction. For some time now, it has been increasingly realizing commercial units in Germany, with a particular focus on economically strong regions in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. GreenPlaces acquired the Mannheim property from MWS Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH in July 2025. By the time the commercial space is completed in autumn 2026, GreenPlaces will invest around ten million euros in the project.

The property at Radeberger Straße 11 is located in the 46-hectare TAYLOR industrial estate. Within this area, publicly accessible open space was designed, the so-called TAYLOR Park.

Achim Judt, Managing Director of MWS Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft, says: “TAYLOR stands for a new generation of commercial areas: Where sealed areas used to dominate, we now combine economic use with a high quality of stay. With the ten-hectare TAYLOR Park, it is the greenest commercial area in Mannheim – a place where work and relaxation are thought together. The innovation can be felt not only in the concept, but in a very concrete way: the new commercial spaces made of solid timber construction fit harmoniously into the area and show what sustainable urban design can look like.”

Markus Eberhard, Managing Director of GreenPlaces Deutschland Asset Management, adds: “With our business park, we want to support Mannheim’s transformation from an industrial to a service location. Our commercial space should be attractive to companies from as many industries as possible that value sustainably built and flexibly usable space in a green environment.”
