Newmark advised EnOcean GmbH on the lease of over 1,000 square meters of office and laboratory space for its headquarters in the Weisses Quartier at St.-Martin-Straße 78 in Munich-Giesing. The property is owned by Allgemeine SÜDBODEN together with joint venture partner ESR Europe.
"The successful lettings in the Weisser Quartier show the continuing relevance of space that combines office and laboratory functions in a meaningful way," says Marcus Lütgering, Country Head Germany at Newmark. "Technology-oriented companies like EnOcean in particular need locations that enable specialized and efficient workflows and provide room for growth."
EnOcean GmbH manufactures maintenance-free wireless switches and sensors that harvest their energy from the environment (energy harvesting) and offers sensor-to-cloud solutions for sustainable Internet of Things (IoT) applications in office buildings, hotels, airports, schools and universities, among others.
"The decisive factor in the decision to locate was the combination of modern office space and specially equipped laboratory areas, which enables us to bundle research, development and administration at one location," says Raoul Wijgergangs, CEO of EnOcean GmbH. "We would like to thank Newmark for the very good advice and support."
Weisses Quartier is located on a former Siemens site and was extensively renovated in 2025. The ensemble was supplemented by a new attic with terraces. Offers such as Skygarden, bicycle garage and the "Mindgarden" in the basement increase the quality of stay. Green leases help to ensure that the district meets today's requirements for sustainable working environments and is operated in a climate-friendly way.
