With The Bau Ventures and WISAG Facility Service Holding SE as well as additional financially strong family offices, the fund is systematically expanding its industry-based investor ecosystem along construction, real estate and energy value creation
Realyze Ventures, one of the leading sector-specific venture capital platforms for the transformation of the construction, real estate and energy industries, has completed another closing and is expanding its circle of investors with additional leading industry partners and family offices. More than 30 investors – including family offices with extensive real estate portfolios as well as leading players in the construction and operation of real estate as well as the energy industry – have invested in the fund so far.
With WISAG and The Bau Ventures, Realyze Ventures has gained two more renowned investors and industry partners and is consistently expanding its strategic network.
Together with existing investors, Realyze Ventures is thus strengthening its position along key value creation stages of the construction and real estate industry: Drees & Sommer is contributing extensive expertise in the areas of consulting, project management, infrastructure and strategic construction and real estate development through The Bau Ventures. WISAG complements the network primarily in the areas of technical and infrastructural services for real estate and land. These include facility management, building technology, building cleaning, security and service, catering as well as garden and landscape maintenance.
Realyze Ventures is thus further sharpening its platform approach: Startups not only receive capital, but also direct access to relevant application contexts, practical feedback and potential customers from the industry. This accelerates market validation and scaling and lays the foundation for sustainable value creation and attractive returns.
"With the new partners, we are strengthening exactly what sets Realyze Ventures apart: the close connection between capital, technology and operational industry reality," says Tim Fischer, General Partner at Realyze Ventures. "This proximity to the market is a decisive driver of returns in the early-stage segment."
The expansion of the network comes at a time of far-reaching structural changes in the construction, real estate and energy industries. Decarbonization, digitalization, energy efficiency, a shortage of skilled workers, increased productivity, and increasing regulatory and economic requirements are increasing the need for scalable technological solutions, creating a clearly defined investment window for early investors.
"Together with the Realyze Ventures ecosystem, we want to help ensure that promising technologies are not only funded, but permanently anchored in the industry," says Steffen Szeidl, CEO of Drees & Sommer.
"We are looking for innovative technologies that make building operations more efficient and offer our customers added value. Realyze Ventures supports us in identifying precisely these solutions before they become the standard," adds Martin Riebschläger, Managing Director of WISAG Facility Service Holding SE.
