The plan is to build a children’s and youth home with 3,000 m² of usable space
The Catholic Children’s and Youth Home St. Josef has acquired a plot of land of around 1,000 m² including project development in Mannheim from the municipal development company MWSP. The area is located in Hedwig-Eppstein-Straße in the Käfertal district and is part of the newly developed Spinelli Quarter. The plan is to build a five-storey timber hybrid building with a total of 3,000 m² of usable space. Completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2028. The new building is to become the new home of the St. Agnes girls’ home, which is currently located in the Neckarstadt-West district. Furthermore, a new inpatient children’s group is to be created and the day group is to be integrated into the building.
JLL advised St. Josef on the purchase of the property and brokered the transaction.
